Alison has a keen interest in children and families.She has been in private practice as a psychologist for the last 17 years. During this time she has helped a wide range of children and families; from those who have learning and developmental difficulties, &/or chronic health related issues, those with special abilities or those who learn differently, and those whose worries and behaviours are hampering their progress. She has also helped parents struggling with how to parent when the regular ideas don’t seem to work well .
She has expertise in all 3 formal examinations available in New Zealand [ NCEA, Cambridge International and International Baccalaureate]. She is a consultant for those who may need Special Assessment Conditions for exams [e.g. Reader, Writer, Computer use or Extra Time]. She has also tutored at the University of Auckland and has experience with the needs and challenges of Tertiary level students.
Alison is a parent of 3 herself, and aunt to a wonderful nephew with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Whatever the issue Alison offers private, professional advice and assistance by appointment.
